Impact of Drones- Case Study

Welcome to this case study. In this presentation, we will dive into how the impact of drones in communication technology have emerged as versatile tools, bridging gaps in creativity, emergency response, and healthcare delivery. This case study examines their impact in three critical areas.

What I have learned

Through this case study, I have learned how drones are revolutionizing various fields by providing innovative solutions to modern challenges, improving workplaces and enhancing how we create and view content.

Problem- Traditional videography tools are high cost, and cannot access hard to reach locations.

Results - Reduce cost and safety. Use of 4k cameras used for filming events, documentaries, and social media.

The global cinematography Industry is projected to increase from less than $200 million in 2020 to over $1 Billion in 2030.

1. Improving Cinemetograpgy

Problem- Offering rapid, accurate response time for emergency with GPS and 3D technology to get detailed data.

Results- Equipped with flight planning software that allows first responders to lead organized search efforts.

The use of drones in natural disasters, transportation and delivery of goods, saves lives and gets medical help 20% faster.

2. Helping in natural disasters

Problem- Third world countries and rural areas cannot receive proper health supplies.

Results- Drones have reduced delivery times for medical supplies from days to hours, ensuring timely access to essential healthcare services in remote regions.

Since 2016, company Zipline has served up to 2,000 healthcare units and helped over 12 million people.
As of April 2024, Zipline completed its 1 millionth commercial drone delivery.

3. Medicine and Healthcare

Drones have had a transformative impact on communication technology, revolutionizing videography, disaster response, and healthcare delivery. By overcoming traditional barriers, they’ve improved accessibility, efficiency, and response times in various sectors. As technology continues to advance, drones will play an even larger role in addressing global challenges and enhancing communication.
